- Report to supervisor before commencing any work and complete H&S Induction and any training required.
- Conform to all H&S instructions given by supervisor.
- Follow ALL safety rules on site (especially when/if working at heights).
- Report all accidents and damage without delay even if a person is not injured.
- Wear any PPE necessary and ensure that it is used/worn correctly.
- Always use the correct equipment each task and ALWAYS ensure the equipment is in good condition.
- Raise any concerns on matters of H&S to your supervisor IMMEDIATELY.
- Carry your CSCS card at all times on site.
- Refer to your Health & Safety Handbook regularly.
- Scaffolders, Dumper Drivers or other trades with the requirement should have their relevant competence tickets on their person at all times.
- Be prepared and willing to take a drug and alcohol test at any given time whilst on site.
DO NOT
- Leave site during normal working hours without informing your supervisor.
- Work alone outside your normal working hours.
- Climb or interfere with any scaffolding.
- Ride as a passenger on any mobile plant e.g. forklift.
- Enter an excavation over 1.2m unless it is shored and battered to a safe slope.
- Do not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs – or possess any AT ANY TIME whilst on site.
- Carry out any task that will put you or others at risk.
- Perform any tasks or work in any area that you feel is unsafe.
- Leave tools or materials lying about at height or throw tools or materials down from a height.
- Use any item of plant or power tools which you are not fully trained to use.
- Drive any vehicle on site or act as a banksman for any machine unless you have a valid CSCS ticket appropriate to the task and are under instruction to do so.
- Use ladders that are not secured correctly.

Conduct Regulations opt out If you are supplied via an umbrella company or other intermediary, then both parties can opt out of being covered by the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (the Conduct Regulations). The opt out must be given in writing to the employment business by both the umbrella or other intermediary and the person being supplied to do the work. The employment business cannot encourage you to do this and it must be your own decision. Agency workers placed in roles working with, or caring for, vulnerable persons cannot opt out of the Conduct Regulations.
